Benediction
Words and Music by Andrew Doolittle
Lyrics
Verse 1:
I may only see a poor reflection until perfection comes
I may wander through the valleys chasing things I shouldn’t love
I may barely feel Your gentle hand lift me out of sin
Yet I know that You are always by my side
Chorus:
Thank You for being there when I pray
Thank You for hearing out my pleas
Thank You for following me when I run away
And I thank You for loving me anyway
Verse 2:
You heard every word from my lips that I spoke as just a child
Though I’m older now, I know that You still listen
You assured me that in this life I’d have trials and tribulations
Still You promise me I’ll never walk alone
